Specification Summary:
The Superfold 4000 SR4 and Superfold 5000 SR5 rated, insulated folding doors have been specifically designed and tested to meet the demanding requirements of high security installations whilst maintaining the quality aesthetic appearance and thermal properties of our range of insulated folding doors.
We are proud to confirm that our high security folding doors are registered in the BRE Global ‘Red Book Live’ confirming our products have been rigorously tested, assessed and approved by LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) and that also the same high standard and quality production is maintained through the process of regular audits.
This approval confirms that the Superfold 4000 will survive an experienced attempt at forced entry using portable tools whereas the Superfold 5000 will survive professional attempts at forced entry with a combination of mechanical and mains power tools all in keeping with LPS1175.
Any facility demanding high security compliance such as: – Cash Handling Depots, Water Treatment Plants, Power Stations, Secure Warehousing, Recording Studios, TV & Film Studios, State & Governmental Premises, Museums, Galleries and Secure Service Yards.
The doors are electrically operated as standard using a 400volt nominal, 3 phase direct drive motor mounted on the top track. Emergency hand chain operation with low-level engagement is provided adjacent to the motor.
A control panel with integrated open/close/stop push buttons is positioned adjacent to the opening at the bunch side.
The Superfold doors are single bunching and approved for an internal face fixed arrangement.
The leading edge of the door is locked into position by means of a LPCB approved electrically interlocked hasp and staple. A Chubb 1K11 Battleship padlock is also provided.
The door panels are constructed from internal steel channel sections forming a strong inner framework with 3mm thick flat steel facing sheets fixed to both sides. The panels are in-filled with a high density insulation and reinforcing material and have an overall thickness of 60mm.
The Superfold 5000 is further reinforced with ballistic resistant materials to ensure it satisfies the LPS1175 testing requirements.
The panels are joined together with continuous stainless steel hinges with concealed fixings into the reinforced edges of the panels. The bottom hinges incorporate plated rollers to run in the bottom track.
The door panels are top hung on four wheel type bearing hangers which incorporate the panel hinges and run in a galvanised steel top track. An auxiliary top track is attached to allow the panels to fold correctly.
A steel channel bottom track is provided and set for alignment within a 200 x 75mm chase before final grouting into position. The unique profile of the bottom track both assists weather sealing whilst providing the necessary level threshold thus allowing the bottom gap to be maintained within the tested dimension.
A sumpbox for drainage and dirt clearance purposes is provided as standard.
A polyester powder coat finish is applied as standard to a single colour from the standard RAL range.
Maximum 8000mm clear width x 6000mm clear height.
Minimum 1700mm clear width x 3000mm clear height.
Approximately 80 to 100kg per m² albeit this may vary dependent on the door width and height.
