Insulated Bi-Folding Door – Thermafold 1000

  • Insulated Bi-Folding Door

Providing thermal resistance of 1.8 w/m²K, the Bolton Gate Thermafold 1000, insulated folding door is ideally suited for structural openings where a reduction in thermal transmission is required.

The flat faced panel construction provides a robust, yet aesthetically pleasing appearance capable of withstanding high wind load conditions.

Each Thermafold 1000 is bespoke and manufactured to order allowing significant flexibility when developing product specifications. With either manual or electric operation the floor mounted pivot arrangement removes the need for a recessed floor track to span the opening.

The energy saving option of an integrated wicket door can be incorporated allowing access to authorised personnel without the need to open the full door.

A specialist control panel is provided to ensure both sides operate simultaneously this includes integrated open/close/stop push buttons and is mounted adjacent to the opening.

A wide range of control options to suit the site specific requirements can be facilitated by the control panel including radio control, proximity readers, photocells, loops and timers etc.

Arrangement

With bespoke construction, other arrangements can be fabricated including fixed side and head panels – please contact the Sales Department to discuss.

Panels

The panels are constructed from rolled steel hollow sections with 2mm thick flat galvanised steel facing sheets. The panels are each filled with a high density, thermal insulation material and have an overall thickness of 64mm.

Seals

Brush strip is mounted at the top and lower edge of the door panels and a heavy duty rubber seal is mounted to full height between each panel.

Tracks

The Thermafold 1000 is designed to be operated without a bottom track allowing a continuous floor surface. Heavy duty floor mounted bearings support the weight of each half door.
