The Eurofold is used in many different applications often where headroom is limited. These sites include prisoner transit bays, loading bays, storage facilities, factories, warehouses and even TV sets (seen securing Websters Garage on Coronation Street !).
Manual push / pull operation is provided as standard.
The intrinsic strength is gained from the gate frame formed from unique double channel vertical pickets made from 1.2mm thick galvanised steel. These are interconnected by 2mm thick galvanised cold formed lattice bars arranged to operate on a lazy tongue principal.
The gate frame is suspended from a series of ball bearing pulley brackets and is guided at its base by zinc plated bottom guide pieces that engage into the bottom track.
Comprising a full height galvanised steel assembly fitted to the front edge of the gate frame. This incorporates pull handles fitted to both sides and the facility to mount various locking options. Single door arrangements are provided with a steel slam astragal to engage the leading edge and provide a secure enclosure.
Leaves are 1.2mm thick galvanised steel provided in widths at 229mm or 305mm wide. These are full height, engage into the gate frame, and are continuously interconnected with capped galvanised steel hinge strips that form into a “V” configuration. This combination provides strength and ease of operation.
Formed from two 3mm thick x 90mm deep galvanised steel sections securely bolted together to provide head support and pulley bracket engagement. The profile design provides for smooth running and reduced friction during operation. The track is supported from the structure by a suitable bolting system, with variable packing shims to allow for adjustment.
The bottom guide pieces are retained within a 3mm thick galvanised steel channel recessed into the ground.
Fitted to the outside face of the top track, the coverplate is formed from galvanised steel and extends beyond the throw of the shutter leaves. Support straps are provided to maintain rigidity and also deflect rainwater.
These re provided when face fixed arrangements bunch clear of the opening aperture. Closure panels are formed from galvanised steel sheet, designed to ensure that the opening is fully enclosed and resistant to prevailing weather conditions.
Eurofold shutters are supplied to fit internally, between or external to the opening structure. Shutters are supplied single (bunching to one side), or in a pair, i.e. bi parting, manual or, as an extra, electrically operated.
Single: Up to 50m² (max 10m wide and 6m high).
Pair: Up to 100m² (max 20m wide and 6m high)
